CALDWELL, N.J. -- Junior defenseman
James McCarthy (Middletown, N.J.) collected game-highs of 11 ground balls and five caused turnovers and added his second career goal as Caldwell men's lacrosse fell, 20-4, to Post in a CACC contest at Kiwanis Oval on Saturday.
McCarthy traded in his long stick for a short one as Caldwell went man-up late in the second quarter. He took a pass from junior midfielder
Evan Uriguen (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) and fired it past the Post goalkeeper from about 20 yards out.
Junior attackers
Spencer Knapp (Point Pleasant, N.J.) and
Michael Spitz (Ringwood, N.J.) and senior attacker
Gavin Starr (Montgomery, N.Y.) had the other Cougars goals.
Connor Denny had three goals and three assists to pace Post (5-3, 2-1 CACC).
Caldwell (1-5, 1-2 CACC) next visits Bridgeport next Saturday.
