PHILADELPHIA, PA Â -- Senior guard/forward
Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) put up another big performance, scoring 18 points and collecting eight rebounds to lead all players as Caldwell (19-6, 12-5 CACC) extended their winning streak to 9 games after making an improbable comeback against Chestnut Hill (13-11, 10-6 CACC ) 63-61 at the Sorgenti Arena.
Junior guard
Neysa Aguilar (Middlesex, N.J.) made a season-high four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points.Â
Junior forward
Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) came up clutch in the final seconds, as she threw a magnificent inbounds pass to Lucy for an easy game-winning layup.Â
Chestnut Hill was in control for most of the game and once held an 18 point lead (30-12) early in the second quarter.Â
The Cougars did not waver and clawed their way back. They took their first lead of the game (57-55) after going on a 16-0 run (41-55) from the end of the third quarter to the 6:54 minute of the 4th quarter.
Caldwell will host the Post Eagles on Tuesday at 5:30 PM.
