Post jumped ahead early, scoring the first 13 points of the game before a Lewis free throw at 4:48 gave Caldwell its first point of the game.
Post (11-12, 8-9 CACC) led, 30-18, at halftime, extending to a 15-point edge at 37-22 before a three pointer and 19-foot jumper by Coogan got CU to within 10.
In the fourth, two free throws by Coogan and a layup by junior guard
Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) got CU to its closest margin since the early seconds at 40-37. Post went back up by eight, but the Cougars again rallied, getting back within four on a three pointer by junior guard
