CALDWELL, N.J. -- Freshman forward
Leopold Neumeier (Berlin) scored in the 79th minute but Caldwell men's soccer couldn't push in the equalizer in a 2-1 CACC defeat to Georgian Court on Saturday afternoon at Kiwanis Oval.
The Cougars also honored seniors
Camilo Murillo (Heredia, Costa Rica),
Jeremy Rivera (Carolina, Puerto Rico) and
Hugo Thell (Höganäs, Sweden) in a pre-game Senior Day ceremony.
Traling, 2-0, Neumeier took a cross from sophomore midfielder
Mark Ibarra (Elizabeth, N.J.) and buried it to halve the Cougars' deficit. CU was unable to record another shot in the contest and GCU (7-5-3, 3-3-1 CACC) held on for the victory.
Freshman GK
Diogo Da Silva (Newark, N.J.) made a season-best nine saves for Caldwell (4-7-2, 2-4-2).
The Cougars next host Monroe on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
