NEWARK, Del. -- Four Cougars put shots on goal and freshman goalkeeper
Jack Carroll (Egg Harbour Twp. N.J.) made his debut in net, stopping three shots and allowing no goals over the last 20 minutes as Caldwell University Men's Soccer fell, 4-1, at Wilmington in a CACC matchup at WU Athletics Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars (3-6-2, 1-3-2 CACC) had four shots on goal, as sophomore midfielder
Nico Bustios (Belleville, N.J.), freshman forward
Leopold Neumeier (Berlin), freshman midfielder
Hakon Lovstad (Lillestrom, Norway) and freshman midfielder (Campbell, Calif.) all had balls saved.
Lovstad's shot led to the CU goal when he rifled one that was saved by WU keeper Nick Kormann before caroming off a Wildcat defender for the own goal.
Caldwell next hosts Post on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Caldwell Athletic Field.
