LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- Junior goalkeeper
Justin Talbot (Moorestown, N.J.) made seven saves in a tough season-opening 1-0 loss to the Bentley Falcons (1-0) at the Georgian Court Athletic Complex. Caldwell and Bentley faced each other in the first game of the Georgian Court University Tournament.
Bentley's Michael Haikal came through on a free kick in the 59th minute to break the scoreless tie. Prior to that goal by Bentley, Caldwell (0-1) was playing well holding the Falcons in check.
Sophomore midfielder
Christopher Castro (Union City, N.J.) led CU with two total shots.
The game also marked the head coaching debut of the Cougars' first-year mentor
Max Correa.
Caldwell will play against Saint Michael's College in their second game of the Georgian Court University Tournament on Saturday at 1 PM.
