WOODLAND PARK, N.J. -- Freshman Lizbeth Castillo (West New York, N.J.) took second place, junior Dayanara Grau (Union City, N.J.) was fourth and freshman Ashley Mercado (Franklin Square, N.Y.) placed eighth as the top three finishers for Caldwell women's cross country at the Cougar Chase at Garret Mountain Reservation on Friday evening.

Caldwell, with 61 points, finished a close second to STAC, which totaled 51, in the six-team field.

Castillo completed the 5K course in 22:39.00, with Grau next at 23:38.60 and Mercado clocking in at 25:20.10.

Freshman Sahari Liger (Kearny, N.J.) was next for the Cougars in 27th (31:40.3) and Heather Obote was close behind in 31st (32:26.7).
