The third set was another exciting affair, with two consecutive Enabosi kills putting the Cougars up, 21-17. After a side out, the teams traded points on errors before four straight Golden Falcons points put the hosts ahead at 23-22. After a service error tied it at 23, McEwan outjumped the Felician middle blocker to give the Cougars a set point, before three straight Golden Falcons kills gave the hosts a 2-1 set lead.
In the fourth, Felician held a 13-9 lead, but CU rallied to 15-15 on a run capped by kills by Schubert-Brown and Gatz). But FU scored five of five of the next six points for a 20-16 lead, extending to 23-18 before the Cougars made one more push, staving off two match points at 24-19 before the final 25-21 margin.
