HAMDEN, CT  -- Sophomore midfielder Hakon Rake (Lommedalen, Norway) scored his second goal of the season in the 57th minute as Caldwell (1-2) fell to the Division 1 Quinnipiac Bobcats (1-3-1) 3-1 at the Quinnipiac Soccer & Lacrosse Stadium. Senior midfielder Ingebrigt Braenden (Trondheim, Norway) and freshman defender Bilel Mahamadou (Lyon, France) were each credited with an assist on Rake's marker.

Junior goalkeeper Justin Talbot (Moorestown, N.J.) tied his season-high in saves with seven including a clutch penalty kick stop.

The Cougars hung tough against some high level competition in Quinnipiac. This performance should give them confidence going into CACC play.

Quinnipiac sophomore forward William Holum gave the Bobcats an early 1-0 lead in the 1st minute of the contest.

Caldwell opens their conference schedule in their home opener against Dominican University of New York on Wednesday at 3:30 PM.
