Christian Rinick (Marlton, N.J.) and redshirt sophomore catcher
Akkash Santiago (Toms River, N.J.) co-led the Cougars with two hits, as Caldwell (15-13, 9-11 CACC) lost both games to Dominican (20-11, 14-6 CACC) 10-1 and 11-3 at Clover Stadium.
Rinick went 2-4 in games 1 and 2.
In the opener, Dominican took control of the game early and did not look back. Dominican scored all 10 of their runs in the first five innings.
Caldwell got on the board in the 6th inning when senior LF
Liam Lombardi (Stony Point, N.Y.) hit a sac fly scoring redshirt sophomore CF
Christian Petino Jr. (Flemington, N.J.).
In game 2, Dominican pulled away in the late innings.Â

Liam James (Roseland, N.J.) hit a sac fly which brought home Rinick.
Dominican would strike back to tie it in the 3rd on a RBI double.
In the 4th, redshirt freshman third baseman
Devon Cass (New City, N.Y.) and Santiago helped put the Cougars back in front. Cass hit a RBI single and Santiago smashed a RBI double scoring Cass.
Dominican piled on 10 straight runs in the 4th and 5th innings to distance themselves from Caldwell and win 11-3.
Caldwell will return to the Kiwanis Oval and welcome D'Youville University in a doubleheader starting at noon on Sunday.
