CALDWELL, N.J. -- Caldwell baseball celebrated the careers of six fine student-athletes on Friday between games of its CACC doubleheader with Felician on a sunny afternoon at Kiwanis Oval.

Joseph Witt (No. Arlington, N.J.) were honored as the Cougars dropped a pair of games to the Golden Falcons (30-16, 24-8 CACC), 20-6 and 6-2.

Stephen Young Jr. (Middlesex, N.J.) had a career-high four hits and freshman 2B
Devon Cass (New City, N.Y.) was 2-for-3 with a double, but a six-run fourth broke open by the visitors broke open a two-run game as Felician went on to the victory.
In game two, Caldwell (20-23, 13-19) took a 2-0 lead in the third on an error and sacrifice fly by Lombardi. But the Golden Falcons responded with a four-run fourth, eventually building a 6-2 lead. Brown hit a thrilling inside-the-park home run to open the seventh and final inning, but the Cougars couldn't get the tying run to the plate.
Scalisi pitched into the sixth and was the hard-luck loser for the Cougars.
The teams continue their four-game series on Sunday at Breslin Field in Lyndhurst, N.J.
