Ashleigh Tavaska (Jackson, N.J.) had five hits, including her league-leading ninth home run and eight RBI as Caldwell swept a CACC softball doubleheader from Bloomfield at Clark's Pond South.
In the opener, the Cougars scored in the first four innings, including a three-run first that featured RBI doubles by Tavaska and sophomore RF
Rianna Sparandero (Middletown, N.J.). CU would take a 5-0 lead on Tavaska's single and the second RBI of the game by sophomore LF
McKenzie Nazionale (Ontario, Calif.). Then in the third, Tavaska put the exclamation mark on the win with a ;three-run home run to right for a 9-0 Cougar lead.
Tavaska had five RBI in the game, while Nazionale and Sparandero had two apiece.
In game two, after the hosts took a 2-0 first-inning lead, the Cougars went ahead in th third on a two-run double by Tavaska and sacrifice fly by sophomore CF
Brooke Freschi (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.). A four-run fourth included an RBI bunt by Nazionale, run-scoring two-baggers by Vondracek and Tavaska, and a sacrifice fly by freshman catcher

Nazionale stole five bases in game two, and Vondracek had three thefts in the two games.
The Cougars (22-21, 11-7 CACC) take a few days off for the Easter break, then return home to face Holy Family on Tuesday and Georgian Court on Thursday as they try to secure a CACC playoff berth and potential first-round home series.
