CALDWELL, N.J. -- Senior point guard
Melvin Evans (Bronx, N.Y.) scored a game-high 19 points to pace Caldwell as the Cougars (0-2) fell in the last game of the CACC-NE-10 Conference Challenge to the Bentley Falcons (1-1) 84-71 at the Newman Center.
Junior guard
Isaiah Philbert (Bronx, N.Y.) knocked down all three of his 3-pointers early in the first half and they brought the Cougars to within 31-23. Philbert finished with 14 points.
Bentley's largest lead was 20 (78-58) late in the second half.Â
Freshman forward
Terence Thompson (Rochester, N.Y.) led all players with two blocks.
Caldwell will go on the road for the first time this season when they travel to West Chester, PA and play the West Chester University Golden Rams on Wednesday at 7 PM.
