CALDWELL, N.J. -- The senior forward duo of
Taina Gervais (Port au-Prince, Haiti) and
Rosio Cardenas (Forked River, N.J.), sophomore midfielder
Melissa Pires (Elizabeth, N.J.) and sophomore forward
Bella Noble (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a goal apiece to help lead CU (8-2-3, 6-1-1 CACC) past the Lincoln Lions (0-11-1, 0-8 CACC) in a CACC matchup, 4-1 at Caldwell Athletics Field.
Caldwell dominated Lincoln in the total shots and shots on goal department with a 34-3 and a 13-1 advantage respectively.
Gervais struck first early for the Cougars in the 5th minute when she took the ball just past midfield dribbled in to 8 yards out and kicked it in. It was her fifth goal this year.
In the 56th minute, Cardenas dribbled in and from 10 yards out scored her CACC-leading 11th goal of the season.
Pires tallied her third goal in the 75th minute.
In the 87th minute, Noble put an exclamation point on the Cougars' scoring with her first collegiate goal.
Caldwell hosts Queens College for Senior Day on Saturday at 1:30 PM.
