PHILADELPHIA — Junior keeper Justin Talbot (Moorestown, N.J.) posted his third shutout of the season as Caldwell men's soccer earned a road point with a 0-0 draw at CACC rival Jefferson at Ravenhill Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars (3-6-2, 1-3-2 CACC) outshot the Rams, 8-6, including 5-1 in a furious second half in which they took five corner kicks to none by the hosts but couldn't get the game-winner across.
Caldwell's defense was stout against the Rams (4-4-3, 2-1-3), limiting the hosts to one shot on goal in the entire match, producing Talbot's lone save.
Sophomore forward Hakon Rake (Lommedalen, Norway) put constant pressure on the Rams, placing six shots in 88 minutes of play.
The Cougars step out of CACC play on Wednesday when they visit the nation's capital to take on UDC.
