W. CALDWELL, N.J. -- Senior quarterback
Jameil Lawrence (Jersey City, N.J.) threw for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead CU (2-2) past the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans (1-3) 34-6 at Bonnel Field.
Senior wide receiver
Darius Harrison (Plainfield, N.J.) had four receptions for 60 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Sophomore wide receiver
Joey Ciccotelli (Denville, N.J.) got the scoring started with a huge 79-yard punt return touchdown at the 12:19 minute mark in the first quarter.
Less than a minute later, junior defensive back
Yves Jean (Clifton, N.J.)extended the Cougars' lead to 14-0 with an 18-yard interception return for a touchdown.
After STAC made their two field goals between the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second quarter , it was all Caldwell in the second half.
Sophomore running back
Kyano Jimenez (Clifton, N.J.) punched in a 4-yard touchdown run at the end of the first half yo put Caldwell up 20-6.
Harrison caught a 4-yard and a 10-yard touchdown pass to cap off the Cougars' scoring at 34-6.
Caldwell will look to get back over .500 when they travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. and take on the Molloy University Lions on Friday at 7 PM.
