Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) led all scorers with 18 points, as women's basketball (10-9, 4-4 CACC) fell to the first-place Dominican Lady Chargers (17-4, 9-0 CACC) 75-67 at the Hennessy Center.
Sophomore point guard
Neysa Aguilar's (Middlesex, N.J.) scored in double figures for the eighth time this year. She finished with 16 points and a season-high four steals.
Caldwell held the lead for 35 minutes in this one. Their largest advantage was 11 (24-13) at the 8:53 minute of the 2nd quarter.
The Dominican offense found its footing late and took their first lead in the final minutes (59-58) on a 3-point shot.
The Lady Chargers would not relinquish that lead the rest of the way.
Sophomore guard
Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) had another great all-around game. She put up nine points and led the Cougars with six assists and seven rebounds.
CU will look to snap their two game losing streak when they return home to face the Goldey-Beacom Lightning on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
