PHILADELPHIA, PA  --  Junior forward
DeAngelo Horn (Castle Rock, Colo.) earned his second double-double this season scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, as men's basketball (11-5, 3-2 CACC) defeated their CACC rival Holy Family University Tigers (6-12, 0-6 CACC) 79-74 at the Campus Center.
Senior point guard
Mark Heber (Paterson, N.J.) dropped 18 points to set a new season-high and also matched the most three-pointers made with three.
Caldwell started to pull away from Holy Family in the second half. CU's largest lead was a 19-point advantage (62-43) at the 9:24 minute mark.
Holy Family was able to cut the big deficit to five but that is the closest they would get.
There were seven lead changes and four ties throughout the game.
The Cougars' 40% 3-point shooting made the difference in the victory.
CU will host the Post University Eagles who are on a mini two game winning streak, on Wednesday at 7:30 PM.
