SAYREVILLE, N.J. -- Senior
Joey Datta (Edison, N.J.) won his third race in as many starts as Caldwell men's cross country took first place at the Cougar Chase Invitational at Sayreville Sports Complex on Saturday morning.
Datta completed the 8K course in 25:42.30 in rainy, damp conditions throughout, nearly 30 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor. His first-place finish was among five Cougars in the top 11 as CU's point total of 28 was 22 better than second-place Monroe.

Alfredo Oidor (Garfield, N.J. (4th, 27:00.6), junior
Chad Manning (Belleville, N.J.) (6th, 28:51.2), sophomore
Alex Jamieson (Portree, Scotland) (10th, 29:25.5) and sophomore
Logan Kudla (Bloomfield, N.J.) (11th, 29.55.3) rounded out the Cougars scoring runners.
Caldwell next visits the Paul Short Invitation in Bethlethem, Pa., next Saturday.
