Mo Toure (Hamilton, N.J.) finished eighth of 135 runners and sophomore
Luke Molyneux (Ocean Township, N.J.) was 30th as Caldwell men's cross country competed at the Highlander Invitational hosted by Cairn University on Saturday.
The Cougars placed 10th among the 17 competing teams at the event.
Toure completed the 8K course in 29:43.1, while Molyneux went 32:28.3.
Rounding out the field for CU were strong runs by junior
Logan Kudla (Bloomfield, N.J.) (52nd, 34:46.5),
Nick Montiel (Totowa, N.J.) (53rd, 34:50.3) and graduate
Lawton Haynes (Montclair, N.J.) (92nd, 39:15.9) in his first appearance for the Cougars.

CU next travels to Kings Park, N.Y., on Oct. 18, the last tuneup before the CACC Championships on Oct. 26.
