CALDWELL, N.J. -- As if attending a Caldwell University athletics event weren't thrilling enough, the department today announced "Cougars Around Campus," a program designed to add an extra incentive for students to show up to cheer on their classmates as they take on the best in the region and the nation.
Any student who wishes to participate can pick a "Cougars Around Campus" passport, which lists select Cougars contests from now through November. At each of those games, the student can have his or her passport "stamped" to signify attendance. Those filling their passports with the most games attended will win Caldwell-themed prizes.
"Cougars Around Campus" is an initiative of the Caldwell Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Â a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience.Â
The first three of those events are set for this Saturday, Sept. 28, when the women's and men's soccer teams battle CACC foe Goldey-Beacom at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively, at Caldwell Athletic Field, and the women's and men's cross country squads host the Cougar Chase Invitational in Sayreville, N.J. The designated games and dates for each sport in the fall season are as follows (all home games unless noted):
