CALDWELL, N.J. -- Caldwell University Athletics and Kiwanis Club of Caldwell - West Essex are assisting the Caldwell Food Pantry with a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Through Nov. 24, the Athletic Department will collect non-perishable items at the Cougar Enrichment Center on the first floor of the Newman Center.

All Caldwell University athletic teams and staff as well as University staff and faculty are invited to participate.

As an added incentive, anyone bringing an item from now until Nov. 18 will receive a free ticket to the Caldwell University basketball doubleheader that day, when the women take on Mercy at 5 p.m. and the men follow against STAC at 7 p.m.

The Caldwell Food Pantry has indicated a particular need for health care items, in addition to standard canned and boxed non-perishable foods. Some suggested items include:

Health Care:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Soap
Body wash
Hand soap
Detergent
Cleaning products
Wipes
 
Food:
Black beans
Red beans
Cannellini beans
Small bags of white rice
Canned fruit
Canned chicken/ham/spam
Condiments (mayo, dressing, spices, ketchup, etc.)
Canned tomato products

Please bring items during regular work hours, except on the 18th, we'll accept until halftime of the men's contest.
