SPARKILL, NY  --  Sophomore defender Jakub Cielak (Brzeznica, Poland) netted his first goal in the 39th minute as Caldwell Men's Soccer (1-2-1) lost to St. Thomas Aquinas (4-0-0) 3-1 at Spartan Field. Junior midfielder Ingebrigt Braenden (Trondheim, Norway) collected his third assist of the season on Cielak's goal.

Freshman Jose De Oliveira Curado (Santiago do Cacem, Portugal) (10 saves in 90 minutes) in his second start of the season, held his own against a very good St. Thomas Aquinas team. Sophomore forward Aimar Carter (Clifton, N.J.) led the Caldwell attack with four total shots.

The Caldwell Cougars will host Holy Family University in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:30 PM. The game marks Caldwell's first CACC matchup this season.
