CALDWELL, N.J.. -- Caldwell baseball honored its five seniors, all four-year performers, following its contest with Staten Island today at Kiwanis Oval.

Elias Negron (Virginia Beach, Va.), outfielder
Noah Putney (Glassboro, N.J.), pitcher
Andres Rodriguez (Henderson, Nev.), first baseman-outfielder
Zach Saunders (Adelphi, Md.) and pitcher
Trent Williams (Glen Burnie, Md.) were the honorees, and all played in the 17-6 non-league defeat.
Rodriguez pitched into the third inning, when he was relieved by Williams, then Negron. Putney had a hit and walk, scoring a run, and Saunders had a hit, two runs scored and an RBI.

Michael Cruz (Miami) and soph catcher
Christopher Bayo (Miami) had two hits each, and Bayo and junior RF
Liam Lombardi (Stony Point, N.Y.) had two RBI apiece.
The Cougars trailed, 5-2, in the third when Lombardi brought in one run with a ground out and Bayo added a run-scoring single.
The Cougars (10-24) next play in the CACC Tournament as the No. 3 North seed, visiting Felician in a Friday doubleheader to start a best-of-three series.
