PHILADELPHIA -- Senior righty
Trent Williams (Glen Burnie, Md.) went the distance, striking out four, keeping the HFU bats in check while the Cougars were busy banging out 10 hits and three home runs in a 10-5 win in the opener of a CACC doubleheader at Father Judge HS field.
Despite three home runs in game two, the Cougars (4-9, 3-2) fell, 7-5.

Michael Cruz's (Miami) two-run home run gave Caldwell an early 3-0 lead. Sophomore catcher
Christopher Bayo (Miami) blasted a solo home run in the second and drew an RBI walk in the third, helping the Cougars build a 5-3 edge. With the game tied at 5, Lombardi took over, singling in two runs in the fourth, later scoring on a hit by sophomore center fielder
Stephen Young Jr. (Middlesex, N.J.), then homered to right in the sixth and drove in the Cougars' final run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh for the final margin.
Williams (1-1) scattered six hits, striking out four, allowing four eanred runs in the complete game effort.
In the nightcap, Young's two-run homer in the second pulled CU to within 3-2, but CU could not draw even, as an RBI double by senior LF
Zach Saunders (Adelphi, Md.) and solo home runs by Cruz and junior 2B
Joseph Witt (No. Arlington, N.J.) weren't enough in the defeat, despite two scoreless innings of relief by senior righthader
Nikko Matos (Roselle Park, N.J.).
The Cougars take on Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday; first pitch of game one of the doubleheader at Kiwanis Oval is set for 3 p.m.
