Grace Vondracek (Odessa, N.Y.) totaled seven hits as Caldwell softball took a twin-bill from Post, 16-1 and 9-0 in CACC action at Caldwell Athletic Field on Tuesday in the league opener for both teams.
Caldwell (9-7, 2-0 CACC) jumped on the visitors early in the opener, Tavaska's three-run home run igniting an eight-run first, capped by Vondracek's two-run single. It was more of the same in the third, when Tavaska's two-run blast made it 11-0. RBI hits from freshman RF

In the nightcap, a pair of fours was the winning hand for Caldwell - four in the first and four in the sixth, two-run doubles by Tavaska and Martin doing the honors to open the game and a booming three-run double by Martin ending it after six.
