CALDWELL, N.J. -- Sophomore righty Nick Napolitano (No. Massapequa, N.Y.) fired three scoreless innings following a strong start by sophomore lefty Danny Keane (Union, N.J.), but Queens (9-7) rallied for a 6-3 win over Caldwell baseball at Kiwanis Oval on Tuesday afternoon.

Trailing, 2-1, entering  the seventh, the Cougars rallied with a pair of runs, tying the game on a solid RBI single by senior right fielder Noah Putney (Glassboro, N.J.), plating senior 1B Oscar Fajardo (Brentwood, N.Y.). Then Putney raced for second on a steal attempt, giving Junior shortstop Sean Brown a chance to dash home with the go-ahead run.

Keane allowed four hits and two runs, striking out two in the start, while Napolitano permitted just one hit and fanned two.

Putney and sophomore center fielder Stephen Young Jr. (Middlesex, N.J.) hd two hits each.

The Cougars (1-7) open CACC play on Wednesday, hosting Bridgeport at 3 p.m. at The Oval.
