Owen Tarnowski (Morristown, N.J) scored six goals and added an assist as Caldwell men's lacrosse won its CACC opener, 18-8, over Holy Family (1-7, 0-1 CACC) at Essex Valley Field.
The victory marked the first for new Caldwell Head Coach

Caldwell took control in the second after a tight first quarter that saw the team split six goals. The Cougars turned it on with six straight, two by Tarnowski and one each by soph attack

James McCarthy (Middletown, N.J.), Staudte and sophomore midfielder
Zakkery Glatfelter (New Oxford, Pa.), who found the back of the net a career-high five times.
Senior goalkeeper
Shane Murphy (Middletown, N.J.) made five saves in the first three quarters and freshman
Ethan Shearer (New Oxford, Pa.) played the final 15 minutes for Caldwell (1-3, 1-0).
Senior midfielder
Jayden Paladino (Hawthorne, N.J.) and senior MF Peter  Johnson (Cedar Grove,  N.J.) each posted a goal and two assists and freshman faceoff specialist
Valentine Soltys (Westmont, N.J.) had his best day in the circle, winning 17 of 27 and adding an assist on a second-quarter Tarnowski goal.
The Cougars next visit Georgian Court on Saturday at 11 a.m. in CACC action.
