ALBANY, N.Y. -- Freshman attack Owen Tarnowski (Morristown, N.J) scored three goals and senior midfielder Jayden Paladino (Hawthorne, N.J.) tallied two in Caldwell Men's Lacrosse's 22-8 defeat at Saint Rose on Wednesday at Plumeri Sports Complex.

After Saint Rose (4-3) got on the board first, soph attack Gavin Starr (Montgomery, N.Y.) evened things with an unassisted marker at 12:33 of the first.

Paladino would take a feed from senior attackman Jason Staudte (Sound Beach, N.Y.), the first of his two assists, before Tarnowski's man-up goal assisted by freshman Michael Spitz (Ringwood, N.J.) closed the Cougars' first-half scoring.

The Cougars would close with the game's final four markers, one each by Staudte, Tarnowski, Spitz and Paladino, for the final margin.

Caldwell hosts its first home game on Saturday vs. Holy Family, 11 a.m. start at Essex Valley Field.
