Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) picked up her second double-double after having a big second half, sophomore guard
Brooke Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a career-high 14 points and sophomore point guard
Neysa Aguilar (Middlesex, N.J.) added 13 as women's basketball (4-4, 1-1 CACC) earned a 65-56 win over Bloomfield (3-6, 0-2 CACC) in the Battle of Bloomfield Ave. at the Bloomfield College Gym.
Coogan finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds. She was unstoppable in the second half, scoring 10 points with 6 in the third quarter.
A couple of big runs put the Cougars up 13 (43-30) at the 3:44 mark of the third quarter.
After BC got within 3 (45-42), CU stormed back to push the lead back to 13 (55-42) in the fourth quarter.
Caldwell had 10 steals in the game, four more than Bloomfield.
The Cougars will look to get over .500 when they host the Southern Connecticut State University Owls next Saturday at 3 PM.
