Moussa Ngom (Dakar, Senegal) picked up a career-high 11 rebounds, as the Cougars men's basketball team (9-4) fell to the Assumption Greyhounds (9-2) 80-62 at the Andrew Laska Gymnasium.

Melvin Evans (Bronx, N.Y.) led Caldwell in scoring and assists with 16 points and 5 helpers. Evans also had six rebounds.
The game featured five ties and eighteen lead changes. The first half was tightly contested, with CU holding a 34-31 lead at the break. Assumption, which has now won nine straight and ranks No. 3 in the latest D2CSC East Region media poll, got hot in the second half and pulled away from Caldwell.
Senior point guard
Mark Heber (Paterson, N.J.) scored a season-high 13 points and had four rebounds.
Caldwell will break for the holidays, and return to CACC play and face the Georgian Court Lions in Lakewood, N.J. on Saturday, January 11th at 2 PM.
