Isaiah Philbert (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 19 points to lead Caldwell as the Cougars (9-3) men's basketball squad erased a 12 point deficit to shock the Bentley Falcons (5-5) 66-63 at the Charles A. Dana Center.
Senior point guard
Mark Heber (Paterson, N.J.) drained 12 points, including the go-ahead jumper (64-63) that put the Cougars up for good with 2:47 to go.
Junior guard
DeAngelo Horn (Castle Rock, Colo.) swatted away a season-best four blocks and scored eight points.
It was an exciting game to watch, with four ties and eleven lead changes throughout.
Junior forward
Moussa Ngom (Dakar, Senegal) picked up 10 rebounds for the second time this season.
Caldwell's biggest deficit was 12 (61-49) at the 7:55 minute of the second half.
The Cougars would go on a 17-2 run to complete the comeback. Philbert made two key threes during the run, with his last one pulling CU to within 1 (63-62).
CU will stay in Massachusetts to face the Assumption Greyhounds who are on an eight game winning streak, on Sunday at 12 PM in Worcester.
