PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Senior middle blocker Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) had team-highs of seven kills and four blocks as Caldwell volleyball fell, 3-0, to Pace in non-league action on Saturday.

After dropping the first two sets, the Cougars made a charge in the third, rallying from deficits of 23-20 and 24-21 late, with a kill by junior OH Mya Burnett (Newark, N.J.) moving the visitors to within 24-23, but Pace took the next point for the set and match.

Senior Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) had 12 assists, three kills and five digs and sophomore Libero Amber Gallo (Toms River, N.J.) was the team's top defender with seven digs for Caldwell (1-5).

The Cougars return home to face CACC foe Post on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Newman Center.
