INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The final NCAA Division II softball statistics are in, and Caldwell's vaunted pitching checks in at 14th in the entire country in earned run average (1.86), while the Cougars offense clicked to a tune of a .328 batting average, good for 23rd nationally.

Madison Burns(East Greenbush, N.Y.) (1.78 ERA, 52nd NCAA), freshman
Olivia Kennedy (Chenango Forks, N.Y.) (1.81, 55th), senior
Mariah Culver (Owego, N.Y.) (1.85, 61st) and graduate
Kayla Daly (Babylon, N.Y.) (1.91, 69th) all ranked in the top 70, helping the Cougars to that #14 ERA ranking. Culver's 92 games started in her career place seventh nationally among active players, her 59.1% win percentage placed 22nd and her 108 appearances also checked in at 22nd for active career.
The team also finished with a composite 1.12 WHIP (walks + hits per inning), good for 20th in the country, paced by Kennedy's stellar 0.95 mark that was 26th best individually.
Offensively, the 2023 Cougars had nine regulars hit .312 or above, paced by senior 2B
Courtney Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.), who led the squad at .395. Her six triples (28th in NCAA) and the 19 doubles by soph SS
Ashleigh Tavaska (Jackson, N.J.) (15th in NCAA) both ranked in the top 30. Grundhauser's 14 career triples are 16th among active players, and senior 1B
Maya Rodriguez (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), in addition to securing the national Rawlings Gold Glove award, finished her Cougars career 11th among active players in batting (.373), 12th in at bats (705), 29th in games played (218) and 33rd in RBI (145).
