Michael Cruz (Miami) giving Caldwell an 11-9 lead in the eighth in the scheduled seven inning game. A pair of home runs, though, in the bottom of the frame won the game for the host Bears (16-28, 11-12).
The Cougars play Alliance on Wednesday in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. at Kiwanis Oval in the final games of the regular season. Six Cougars will be honored on Senior Day between games.
