Lombardi, Richards Have Two Hits Each as Baseball Falls Twice to Domininican

CALDWELL, N.J. -- Sophomore LF Liam Lombardi (Stony Point, N.Y) and senior C Kyle Richards (Sayreville, N.J.) had two hits each as Caldwell baseball dropped a pair of CACC contests to Dominican on Saturday at Kiwanis Oval.

Lombardi had a hit in each game, driving in one of the Cougars' four runs in the 14-4 opening game defeat. Junior 1B Zach Saunders (Adelphi, Md.), freshman second baseman Malik Little (Bergenfield, N.J.) and freshman CF Joshua Lopez (New City, N.Y.) had the other RBI for the Cougars (12-24). 

Lombardi and soph Santo Anzalone (Middle Village, N.Y.) had the Cougars' hits in the 10-2 game two defeat.

Caldwell is back in action on Tuesday at Kiwanis Oval for the first of a split three-game series vs. Bloomfield, start time of 3 p.m.
