KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Freshman third baseman Malik Little (Bergenfield, N.J.) blasted his first career home run and junior RF Noah Putney (Glassboro, N.J.) had two hits as Caldwell baseball dropped a pair of contests at Kutztown. 

In the opener, Putney's third-inning RBI single brought in graduate CF Joshua Lopez (Nanuet, N.Y.) to tie the game at 1. After Kutztown (12-8) retook a 3-1 lead, Little's solo blast in the fourth pulled Caldwell to within a run, but the Bears tacked on three more runs before Little's sixth-inning double plated junior 1B Zach Saunders (Adelphi, Md.) for the final 6-3 margin. Senior righty Connor Woods (Bethlehem, N.J.) fired a hitless inning of relief for Caldwell.

In Game two, soph DH Santo Anzalone (MIddle Village, N.Y.) brought in Caldwell's only run in a 10-1 defeat, on a first-inning single scoring graduate shortstop Waldy Arias (Plainfield, N.J.). Senior lefty Michael Deusch (Oceanport, N.J.) tossed a hitless frame for the Cougars.

Caldwell (6-7) opens CACC play Wednesday in Rutherford, N.J. in a single game, then hosts the Golden Falcons on Friday in a doubleheader, rescheduled from Saturday, at Kiwanis Oval.
