Megan Molinelli (East Windsor, N.J) each netted goals as the Cougars fell to American International College 19-2 in their 2023 season opener.
The Cougars open their season at 0-1, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 1-1.
American International jumped out to a seven-goal lead in the opening quarter. Ellis got the Cougars on the board late in the quarter off an assist from senior
Kelsey Maxwell (Center Moriches, N.Y.).
Molinelli netted her first collegiate goal early in the second half for the second Caldwell goal of the game.

Meghan Korzevinski (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) and Maxwell each finished the game with two draw controls each.

Serena Barra (Cranford, N.J.) played 30 minutes in net, recording seven saves. Freshman
Sarahkate Schneider (Somerset, N.J.) also played 30 minutes in goal, posting six saves.
The Cougars host Kutztown University in their home opener on Wednesday, March 1 at 4 pm at Essex Valley Field in West Caldwell.
