Owen Healey (Washington, N.J.) scored four goals as the Cougars fell short to American International College 12-10 in a non-conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 1-1, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 2-1.

Michael Brown (Glenolden, Pa.) got on the board to give the Cougars a 5-1 lead after one quarter.
The Cougars and the Yellow Jackets each scored three goals in the second quarter to keep Caldwell in front at halftime. Junior
Jason Staudte (Sound Beach, N.J.) and junior
Jayden Paladino (Hawthorne, N.J.) netted goals in the quarter, while Brown closed out the first half scoring with his second of the game to give the Cougars an 8-4 lead.
Paladino scored a man-up goal early in the second half but the Yellow Jackets netted two straight goals to close the gap to 9-6. Staudte scored midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 10-6. American International closed the quarter with two goals to cut the score to 10-8. The Yellow Jackets tied the score early in the fourth quarter and added two goals later in the quarter to notch the win.
Healey led the way with four goals, while Staudte finished with two goals and one assist. Brown and Paladino each netted two goals each.
Senior
Tim Livingston (Holtsville, N.Y.) played 60 minutes in net, recording 16 saves.
The Cougars host Franklin Pierce University in a non-conference contest on Saturday, March 4 at noon at Essex Valley Field in West Caldwell.
