WILMINGTON, Del.--Senior midfielder Alex Spencer (St. Andrew, Jamaica) scored midway through the first half but Caldwell men's soccer (9-5-1, 5-5-1 CACC) couldn't get the equalizer, falling at Goldey Beacom, 2-1, in a CACC contest at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field.

After GBC (6-8-2, 4-4-2 CACC) took an early 2-0 lead, Spencer scored his second goal of the year off a feed from senior midfielder Murilo DeOliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil), his league-leading 13th assist of the season.

Sophomore GK Kevin Sabadin (Mantena, Brazil) made five saves for CU in its regular season finale. The Cougars now await other results to learn their final standing. The Cougars, with 16 points, are ahead of a pack of teams vying for the fourth through eighth slots, which advance to the CACC Tournament beginning on Monday, Nov. 6.
