BRIDGEPORT, Conn.--Senior forward Israel Dos Santos Neto (Salvador Bahia, Brazil) and freshman midfielder Gisle Myrle (Oppdal, Norway) scored goals but sixth-seeded Caldwell men's soccer fell to Bridgeport, 8-2, in the CACC Tournament quarterfinal contest on Monday afternoon at Knights Field.

The Purple Knight scored two goals in the first half and another in the opening moments of the second before Dos Santos Neto got the Cougars on the board in the 51st minute with his 13th goal of the year. CU couldn't keep the momentum, though, allowing three more tallies before Myrle notched his fifth marker of the year in the 72nd minute.

The Cougars finish the year at 9-6-1, their most wins since 2014. All-League awards will be announced on Tuesday.
