Late Dakake Goal Gives Women's Soccer 2-2 Draw With Wilmington

Costanza PK in first half other Cougars Tally

CALDWELL, N.J. -- Soph Samantha Dakake (Riverdale, N.J.) scored from in close in the 81st minute off a free kick by senior defender Megan Feehan (Point Pleasant, N.J.) that hit off the crossbar, giving Caldwell women's soccer a 2-2 draw against Wilmington on Senior Day at Caldwell Athletic Field on Sunday.

Feehan's high, arcing free kick from about 25 yards out on the left side nearly went in the goal, hitting the crossbar and caroming in front of the goal where Dakake, who had recently entered, tapped it in for her second tally of the year.

Graduate Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) had scored on a penalty kick in the 29th minute to tie the game at 1-1. Sophomore Kayla Silva (Bloomfield, N.J.) was dragged down in the box to draw the penalty.

Sophomore GK Ariana Gaminara (Las Vegas, Nev.) made four saves for the Cougars (5-3-5, 3-1-5 CACC), who with 14 points are tied for third in the CACC standings with two games left to play.
