NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Junior forward Melissa Martinez (Elizabeth, N.J.) was named CACC Women's Soccer Player of the Week today by the conference. Martinez scored three goals, including two vs. Felician on Wednesday and one at Holy Family on Saturday as the Cougars went 1-0-1 on the week.

Martinez had the Cougars' first two markers vs. Felician, scoring in the 5th and 15th minutes for the 2-0 lead in an eventual 4-0 triumph.

On Saturday, with her team trailing, 2-0, she scored in the 79th minute to get the Cougars back to within 2-1 before senior defender Megan Feehan (Point Pleasant, N.J.) tallied the equalizer in the 89th minute for the tie.
