Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) registered her 1,000th career assist as part of a 12-assist, 10-dig double double as Caldwell volleyball fell, 3-1, to Dominican (7-12, 5-2 CACC) in a league matchup at the Newman Center on Wednesday night.
Sherwood registered the milestone helper on a second-set flip to junior RS
Natalie Piper (Long Beach, Calif.), who slammed one of her five kills. Sherwood, one of the most versatile players ever at Caldwell, now has 1011 assists, 692 kills and 681 digs as a Cougar.
Sophomore hitter
Wyette Schubert-Brown (Chatsworth, N.J.) and senior middle blocker
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) had six kills each for the Cougars (1-14, 1-8 CACC).
Sherwood and junior DS
Karin Ojeda (Toms River, N.J.) were the team leaders in digs with 10, and Schubert-Brown added nine.
Caldwell next visits CACC North rival Post on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
