Ariana Gaminara (Las Vegas) made three saves as Caldwell women's soccer earned a hard-fought, 3-1 CACC triumph over Chestnut Hill at Caldwell Athletic Field.
Cardenas scored in the 18th minute, taking a pass from Martinez and depositing it in goal for the 1-0 Cougars lead.
After Chestnut Hill (3-4-1, 2-2 CACC) tied it early in th second half, the Cougars retook the lead on a penalty kick by Costanza in the 58th minute.
On a counter attack, Martinez then took a through pass from graduate forward
Maggie Motolese (Schnecksville, Pa.), found open space and beat the keeper in the 65th minute for the insurance goal.
The Cougars (5-3-2, 3-2-1 CACC) next visit Georgian Court on Saturday at noon.
