LAKEWOOD, N.J. — Sophomore forward Rosie Cardenas (Forked River, N.J.) scored in the eighth minute as Caldwell women's soccer earned a 1-1 draw vs. Georgian Court in a CACC matchup at Investors Bank Field Saturday. 

Cardenas took a perfectly placed corner kick from junior F Melissa Martinez (Elizabeth, N.J.), soaring over the defenders and heading it past the keeper for the 1-0 Caldwell lead.

GCU (3-4-6, 2-0-5 CACC) got the equalizer in the 79th minute to draw even; the Cougars (5-3-3, 3-1-3 CACC) had three shots to one for GCU in the final 11 minutes but neither team could get the game-winner.

Sophomore GK Ariana Gaminara (Las Vegas) made two saves as the Cougars outshot the Lions, 11-6, in the contest.

The Cougars visit Post on Tuesday at noon in their next action.
