CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's basketball senior
Casey O'Shaughnessy (Brooklyn, N.Y.) reached the 1,000-career point milestone as the Cougars cruised past Wilmington University 73-35 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improves to 9-9 on the season and 5-5 in the CACC, while the Wildcats drop to 2-17 and 1-8 in conference play.

Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) drained three-pointers in the opening quarter as the Cougars pulled ahead 21-13 after one quarter of play.
Caldwell started the second quarter with a 9-2 run as O'Shaughnessy netted seven points, including a three-point at the 6:05 mark to give the Cougars a 30-15 lead. O'Shaughnessy achieved her milestone at the 1:37 mark of the second quarter with a free throw to reach 1,000 career points. Senior
Rebecca Morrison (Ayrshire, Scotland) drained a late jumper to give the Cougars a 37-19 lead at halftime.
The Cougars pulled away to start the second half with nine straight points to open the third quarter to help Caldwell build a 46-19 lead. Caldwell maintained their lead into the final quarter.
O'Shaughnessy led the way with 15 points along with two assists, while Coogan added 14 points and four rebounds. Freshman
Amyah Bray (Manchester, N.J.) finished with nine points and three rebounds, while graduate
Saundra Cleckley (Far Rockaway, N.Y.) totaled eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and six points.
The Cougars host Dominican University of New York in a CACC contest on Wednesday, January 25 at 5:30 pm.
