RUTHERFORD, N.J.- Caldwell University men's soccer senior
Chris Ferri (Parsippany, N.J.) netted a late second half goal to help the Cougars battle to a 1-1 draw against Felician University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars move to 0-5-1 and 0-1-1 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons stand at to 3-1-2 and 0-0-1 in conference play.
Felician struck first as they took the lead with a first half goal in the 26th minute of play.
The Cougars rallied back in the second as Ferri netted the equalizer off an assist from junior
Israel Dos Santos Neto (Salvador Bahia, Brazil) in the 75th minute. The teams both had scoring opportunities late in the game but fell short as the game ended in a draw.
The shots for the game were even at 14 with Caldwell holding an edge in shots on goal 7-5. The Cougars held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore
Dylan Valencia (Elizabeth, N.J.) played all 90 minutes in net, recording four saves in the match.
The Cougars host Georgian Court University for a CACC contest on Saturday, September 17 at 1:30 pm.
