CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball senior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) recorded five kills and two blocks as the Cougars fell to Mercy College 3-0 in their home opener.
The Cougars fall to 1-3 on the season, while the Mavericks improve to 3-0
Mercy took the opening set 25-19 and won the final two sets 25-14 and 25-20.
Junior
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) totaled nine kills and nine assists along with two block assists and four digs. Junior
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) chipped in six kills and two total blocks, while Hartmann finished with five kills and two blocks.
Graduate
Shayna Saltzman (Pine Beach, N.J.) posted 11 assists and seven digs, while graduate
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) tallied eight digs and two aces.
The Cougars open conference play on Wednesday, September 7 as they travel to Post University for a 7 pm match.
