WATERBURY, Conn.- Caldwell University women's volleyball junior
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) posted nine kills in the Cougars 3-0 loss to Post University in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener.
The Cougars fall to 1-4 on the season and 0-1 in the CACC, while the Eagles improve to 2-5 and 1-0 in conference play.
Post won the opening set 25-22 and took the ensuing two sets 25-19 and 25-22.
Sherwood led the way with nine kills, 11 assists and four digs, while junior
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) added six kills.
Graduate
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) recorded four kills, while senior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) finished with three kills and two solo blocks. Graduate
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) totaled six kills in the match.
The Cougars host Felician University in a CACC match on Friday, September 9 at 4:30 pm.
